For us living in Shanghai, live goes on. Nothing much have changed except you see more people wearing face mask on the streets. A friend of mind wanted to buy a pack of disposable masks at a local medical shop last night, but was informed it's all sold out that morning. As for our food, I usually buy our groceries and produces from PINES and CITY SHOPS, two supermarket that caters to expats living in Shanghai. The produces are either imported or organic. And we try to eat in more often than out with the crowd.
Yesterday was the start of Qing Ming Jie (清明节), a 4 days long public holiday in China. Chinese or Buddhist pay respects to the dead by visiting the graves or tombs of their relatives and "Sweeping the tomb" during this holiday.
The streets around the French Concession is pretty quite today, but yesterday it was a different story when we were at The Bund up to Cheng Huang Miao (城隍庙). Check out the photos I took.
We are planning to check out the Cherry Blossoms or go for Strawberry picking at Pudong tomorrow, but wonder if we should stay in and stay away from the crowd.
