Ever since I have relocated to Hong Kong, my (old and new) Shanghai clients are still texting and emailing me for Tarot appointments. After turning away numerous appointments for Face-to-Face readings as I cannot meet them personally in Shanghai, I have finally developed an alternative to help my seekers.

Just last week a Shanghai client of mine sent me an urgent text. I replied to her and we did a half hour reading via Whatsapp. My readings to her was recorded and together with the images of the cards were sent to her regarding her questions.

That wasn't my first online reading as I have done many readings for my clients who are based in London, Singapore and Shanghai. Either via Skype or online chat.

July 29 - 31 MYSTIC TAROT READING with Lady Suzz at Reflections Hong Kong

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I last wrote something here after we made our relocation from Shanghai to Hong Kong. We have finally settled in Hong Kong after being totally overwhelmed by the fast pace and lack of personal space during the first 2 weeks.

After settling our move in Hong Kong with a new home and our belongings all shipped in from Shanghai, I have started to explore the Tarot scene in Hong Kong.

Not surprising, the New Age scene in Hong Kong is as vibrant as in Singapore, and I have connected with Ruby from Reflections. One of the oldest New Age center in Hong Kong. That said, I am pleased to announce that I will be making my first appearance in Hong Kong. I have been asked to introduce myself on the 29th July (Tuesday), 7.30pm - 830pm, at Reflections, in Wan Chai.  

Good Bye to Shanghai and helping ourselves before others

As I am packing up my house and getting ready for my new destination (to be revealed when I'm settled in), I was still providing Tarot consultation for several customers. And on Tuesday, 22nd May, was my last appointment as the night before my studio partner unexpectedly informed me that she's handing over the studio's keys to the landlord. Hence I bid farewell to my lovely little studio at Nanjing Xi Lu, and many thanks my studio partners, Jeanne Thien of Jeanne Plus and Luvanna Thien of Amrit Wine and Lifestyle for being my studio partners these 2 years.

I will also be revealing my Skype contact details at a later time for online consultation with my seekers in Shanghai. Many thanks to the friendships I have made over the years with all my seekers. See you soon on Skype. Good bye Shanghai and take care my good friends.

Fairies to safeguard my Tarot cards

I love this beautiful metal box. It was a box that contained chocolates which was a gift from my friend in Singapore, Ayako Goh. After I finished the yummy chocolates, I immediately convert it into a box to store one of my set of Tarot cards. And it was the perfect fit.

So if you come for your tarot reading at my studio at Nan Jing Xi Lu (南京西路）in Shanghai, you will be able to meet the beautiful fairies who have been protecting my tarot cards.

4 is not a unlucky number

As a Chinese Singaporean, I grew up in a borderline superstitious family. Not because of certain numbers being unlucky to my Mom and Dad. But to my Christian relatives, they deemed Chinese mythological creatures, like the Dragon and Phoenix as evil creatures. And even though my father was a traditional business man, numbers, may it be lucky or unlucky, doesn't matter to him. Although the occasional "luck" does matters.

Hence I was amused when I read about an article of some Chinese residents trying to change their apartment or floor numbers from 4 to another number.  Is that possible??

Energy Around Us

A client once asked me how many Tarot sessions can I do each time and won't I feel tired after every session. My answer was "It depends on the energy of the seeker I met."

Energy? What is energy?

Everyone of us emits an aura of energy that can affect the mood and emotions of another person.

Happy Mother's Day 2013 to all Mommies

Every day should be a special day with your mom and we shouldn't just spend more time or do something special with her just because there is a day to remind you.

However, if you haven't been spending much time with the person who gave birth, nurtured and protected you till you are an independent adult. Today is the day to give your mommy a big hug and say "Happy Mother's Day and I love you always mommy."

I am about 2000mile/4000km away from my mom, who is in Singapore. I have sent her a card (which I hope she has received it) and an SMS message this morning. Will be doing my weekly call routine and call her via Skype later tonight as I am sure she is enjoying her day with my brother(s) and sister(s).

May Day in pottery town Jin De Zhen, China - Part 2

Sorry for the delay from my last post. It has been a busy week after the holidays as I had to get to work on a few articles. For some of you who doesn't know me, apart from being a Numerologist and Tarot reader, I am also an arts and tech writer, an arts manager and an online shop owner. Right after the May Day holiday, I was invited to several Arts opening in Shanghai hence gotten pretty busy.

And now back to Jin De Zhen (景德镇).

At the morning of Day 2, it started to rain cats and dogs while we were enjoying our breakfast inside the hostel. From the breakfast area, we could see many stalls had already set up for the weekend flea market. But the sudden downpour made everyone covered up their wares. Luckily, most things on sale are made of ceramic, hence not easily destroyed by the rain. And just in time as we were about to finish our breakfast, the sky opens up and the rain stopped.

I was excited to check out the stalls. So many things to buy! But too bad, I wasn't prepared and didn't bring alot of cash. But enough to buy a few items to make me happy.

All the wonderful wares on sale at the weekend flea market. Some items reminded of my friends back home in Singapore.

After wandering inside the flea market, we roamed around the Sculpture Factory and found a few interesting shops and ceramic factories.

There were many little dogs in Jin De Zhen. And we noticed very few cats.

And now it's almost time for lunch. We have planned to check out another area called, San Bao Village (三宝村) in the afternoon. We were told it's a cluster of "village" that have been refurbished by an artist, Jackson Lee, now owns the place. Over in this area, we were told that there's a nice restaurant that many people will travel all the way to have their meals.

However, San Bao (三宝) is so far out that we have to book our cab who ferrys us there back to where we came from.

After lunch we wandered around San Bao and walked right into an Art Gallery and Artist Residency. The Art Gallery was closed and a banner of a Ceramic Fair which was held 3 years ago still hung up high above the gallery. I guess they must be very proud of the fair.

After exploring San Bao we decide to head back out. We took a little walk to checkout some village sights before we called for our cab back to our hostel.

At this time, we experienced a little episode on how locals can be aggressive when "provoked". While we waited for our cabbie for about half an hour, a can showed up and honked at us. Thinking it was our booked cabbie, we got on. A few minutes later, Mommy Agatha noticed it wasn't our booked cab and the meter was switched on. We had earlier negotiated 25 yuan for the ride back. So we called our cab and canceled him.

But he was already on his way and stopped our cab and demanded for money as he had made his trip out. Yes, this was one of the disgusting and unethical behaviors of the local Chinese in China. Fortunately he only wanted 10yuan, so we gave that to him in order to prevent any altercations or fist fights. In the end our metered cab was less than 10 yuan, so a blessing in disguise we didn't take the booked cab and saved some coffee money.

So that's about it for our 2nd day in Jin De Zhen. But right before we head back to our hostel, we met a few artists at work inside one of the studios.
